About the story: Terri Fletcher (Hilary Duff) has a melodious voice which is just perfect for a singer. She always led a peaceful life, till tragedy strikes her family and her. She defies her dad's plans for her and secretly spends her summer holidays at a famous Los Angeles performing arts academy. During her challenging adventures in the new environment, she has made some interesting friends and an encouraging teacher who helped her to get over the sorrow and grief of the unexpected tragedy.

About the Story: Set in a magnificent view of blooming sakura flowers, the story started from World War 2. A young and innocent Japenese child was sent to be a servant in a geisha home. Despite of being betrayed by her rival, she slowly blossom into a famous geisha, Sayuri. Although she is able to attract some of the most powerful guys, her secret love for that one man is always out of her reach. (* Geisha is NOT a prostitute and they are not allowed to love.)
